一个句子中只能有一个谓语,如果选择A则一个句子中出现了两个谓语.即there are和need,所以这里need要用needing,这样作为一个动词的现在分词形式来修饰places of interest.可以变为:There are lots of places of interest which need to be repaired in our city."needing"作为一个后置定语.

A 就有两个谓语了！need sth doing是不对的。

B 是被动语态!

选择B的话，使句子结构混乱，出现了两个谓语形式，这样的句子结构是不正确的，B中的现在分词作独立主格！

一个句子只能有一个动词，前面已有一个are了，所以后面肯定不能用动词的原形了，而后面的needing to be repaired 是用来做interest的伴随状语的。这句话的意思是我们城市里有很多的名胜需要修理一下。

there be 句型后多用doing,后面的to be repairer或repairing好像都行。

因为前面有个there be,它本身就是谓语,后面再添加一个谓语动词就要用v+ing或v+ed,至于是+ing还是+ed那就要看具体是什么时态了.
