I am glad to receive your letter.Talking about the importance of economy and environment,I think the latter one should be more important.
Just imagine,there is a city with many skyscrapers,with strong economic power.However,the air is terrible with few green lands.Would you like to live in such a city?Environmental protection is really important because it is related to the place where we live now and in the future.
Furthermore,economy can be re-developed even if it has suffered from financial crisis.But environment can be hardly repaired once it is destroyed.That’s why the developed countries are all devoting themselves to protect the environment.What we need for life is abundant bank notes but a happy life.I am afraid we can’t have a happy life without a good living environment.

而且,即时金融危机,经济还是会重新发展,但是环境一旦被破坏就很难修复.那就是发达国家致力于环境保护的原因.我们需要的不是大量的钞票,而是快乐的生活.我想没有一个好的生活环境,谈何快乐生活呢?
