FSC是为了贯彻落实参与森林保护、森林可持续经营及确保采用只源自经营良好森林的纸品,如果是造纸公司按以下不法途径做为原材料时不可以得到FSC的认证：
Ø 非法垦伐的树木Illegally harvested wood；
Ø 树木源于违反人权及惯例的森林 Wood Harvested in violation of tradition and civil right ;
Ø 树木源于有高保存价值的森林 Wood harvested in forests where high conservation values are threatened by management activities ;
Ø 由天然森林转变为种植林的树木 Woods harvested in forests being converted to plantations or non-forest use ;
Ø基因改造的树木 wood from forests in which genetically modified trees are palnted.
