Having not studied physics subject for a few years,currently I can just remember limited details of the physics phenomenon,which means I am only able to be a guide instead of a person giving you the answer directly.The question wants you to describe the motion of the skateboard(there are wheels under a skateboard) when each student throws a mass(which represents a huge and heavy enough stuff that is possible to have the skateboard move FORWARDS or BACKWARDS.).Take out your textbook and find the section involves FRICTION force analysis,to find out which direction(move FORWARDS - FRONT or move BACKWARDS - BACK) the skateboard will move to when the first student throws the mass(e.g.medicine ball) and the other student catches the stuff(the latter motion of the skateboard is opposite to the former one,like first FORWARDS / second BACKWARDS; or first BACKWARDS / second FORWARDS).
