I think I have the same problem which your brother has.I always feel that what my parents say is not what I think.They are grow-ups,they have the different ideas about the whole society.Sometimes they are right because of their experience,however,sometimes they are wrong,also because of their experience.I mean that we should learn this impersonally.If I have no experience with the matter,I will turn to my parents for help,listen to them and finally make a decision with their help.If I don't agree with them I will try with my own decision.Of course I may fail.Learn from them,but not follow them exactly,that's how I deal with problem.But the most important thing,I think,is that you should respect you parents all time.They brought you to the world and brought you up,we should never ,because of a different idea,hate them,even if they stick to that you should follow their words.
