第一句话的分号后面：but the scientific dust has long since settled.这个since是一个省略吗?为什么后面的中文解释是“自从伽利略死了以后”.如果不是省略似乎讲不通啊,但是有这样的省略吗?是不是太简略了,有些牵强啊~
还有一个句子,第八行：and he had seen there evidence enough to overthrow Aristotle and Ptolemy together.其中的evidence enough是不是应该是evident enough呢?或者是enough evidence,难道有这种倒装?或者是古老英语的一种表达形式?
